					Kelli not only has a special mom, she also has a special family that loves her and helps her to understand that life goes on, and...it’s o.k. to be happy! Kelli’s mother Jill was diagnosed with breast cancer in September of 1995. She fought courageously and the light and hope never dimmed form her bright blue eyes. Jill finally lost her battle with breast cancer in April of 1997. And thanks to God’s miracle of life, we can still see hope and dreams in the same bright blue eyes that Kelli got from her mother. The inspiration behind "Purple Wings" stems from Jill’s great love for Kelli and her favorite color...purple.
